I recently saw  this  list of things not to say on a first date if it is going well but I realize maybe they  are also the things to say on a first date if you want it to be the last- see it as the list to always have on hand

1. I hate my job

2. I am still in love with my ex

3. Do you want to come back to my place ?

4. Do you mind if I use a coupon for dinner?

5. I think we are going to be great friends

6. Will you marry me?

7. Enough about me, have you read my book?

8. My family is crazy

9.Life just isn’t working for me right now

12. Financially, I am a train wreck

I think this is better than the ‘sorry I dont think there is any chemistry, but you are really nice” which I dread saying even though big girls are supposed to- I always think it sounds weird and somehow mean. So I cop out and  shake hands – I feel that is a good way to say-‘darn nice to meet you, but I don’t want to kiss you’. No idea if that is better or not.

Hallowe’en is here again. My kids make their own costumes which I love but for me I dread coming up with something for myself – even though I admire those that do put so much effort into it. Click here for my idea of a great costume
