These are swear words in my house.

When my children were little and even bigger then little, simple, young and innocent things pleased them long after some had moved on to diabolical plots, non believing, no teeth under pillows, no cross your fingers hope to die wishes, no letters to Santa, no make believe. But I refused to ever tell them “you are too old for that”

If this sounds sweet and generous, there may have been an additional hidden reason.

I never wanted them to say it to me.
