There was once a french politician who ate his lunch every single day at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

He so loathed the iconic structure that he said this was the only place in all of Paris where he actually could not see it.

I love the French obstinance.

And my favourite view of the Eiffel Tower.

In all the time I have spent in this city, I never felt the need to view it from the top and stand in long lines to do so, when I could lie in the grass and love it from there.
