My friend’s father is circling the neighbourhood of 90 and recently bought himself a brand new car.
He turned to me and said
Nance, some people in their late eighties don’t even buy green bananas and my dad just bought a new car.
It occurs to me we either think we will be around for ever so we put stuff off we want to do or we think we are on our way out and shouldn’t.
I love his attitude.
Nancy you are so big on this, it’s just wonderful. A very good friend said the best, the only way to be ready to die is to really live. For those of us who do fear death, it’s great to have you around.
