Younger daughter asked to go shopping on Bloor St on Saturday. How bad could that be? Limited budget, with several close friends- of course I agreed.
At the end of the day I asked “How did it go?”
“- Well mommy, we were stuck a long time on the subway because the tracks right in front of our train caught on fire -and then we had to evacuate and walk.When we arrived to destination, there was a very large and crazy group – maybe 1000- marijuana protesters (Freedom Festival aimed at legalizing marijuana) dancing, screaming and smoking something stinky”
“There was a break in the protest march and so my friends and I ran across to the safety of Aritzia- where I proceeded to buy these ($120) pants”
“So, honey, what you are saying to me – is that, as you ran across the street, you inhaled ?”
