dumb dumb days

sometimes when my output has been full on, I need a dumb dumb day.

it is a day where I am dumb and I do paperwork/housework  and push everything along some and I might read and write a little but I don’t do too much of anything too ambitious and I have a slow cup of tea in the afternoon and I notice things and I slooooooooow right down.

It rained today so it was a perfect dumb dumb indoor day where one could dwell for way too long on one thing

At the end of the day the sun came out and shone the way it does down the path at the front and made glitter every wet leaf and flower. I was making homemade veggie pizza with chorizo and I looked out the screen door and saw the glittering and heard a woodpecker and his cartoonish sound. And above it – now don’t hate me for this perfection- the sound of a neighbour here at the cottage who plays his saxophone in the late afternoon (am I the only one who calls it the sexiphone for obvious reasons? It is one of life’s sexiest sounds)

These days are not so dumb.

how is the blank canvas/ blank pizza dough transformed into something to get excited about? Click here
