let’s make a difference

Please forgive this ask . I know, though, that you will agree it is a good one.

Cancer changes a child’s life. So can camp.
I have had the great good fortune of making a difference in the lives of children who are well through my work at Art Studio for Children– this is my opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child who has cancer. Today is the first and only day that I will reach out to my online community for support- so if you would like to join me in my effort please do so today. As of this moment I am at $800 and we need $3500 to send a child to camp for two weeks. Let’s see what we can do together.
On May 12, 2013 (a week from today) I will be participating in the Sporting Life 10k Run in support of Camp Oochigeas! Camp ‘Ooch’ is a privately funded, volunteer based organization that provides kids with cancer and kids affected by childhood cancer with a unique opportunity for growth through challenging, fun, and enriching experiences. All programs are free for families and in 2012 over 800 children got to experience the magic of Ooch. Ooch allows kids with cancer to just be kids.

My hope is that I will bring my art school to the camp next summer but right now I am starting with a run!
I’m reaching out  to my friends, family  and readers for support- please make your donation today at http://www.ooch.org/myfamilyisnotbroken Select my name on the team and  hit the big ‘Donate Now’ button. You will receive an automatic tax receipt by email.
Every donation is very appreciated and I thank you in advance for supporting my fundraising efforts and Camp Oochigeas!
with affection and appreciation,
