This was a high compliment yesterday.

If I can work with 50 initially eyeball rolling grade 6s on an art project and have all the adolescent boys go from -wtf- to “can we skip recess and keep working on our art?” -it makes me happy. I love this challenge and that moment when you hold their attention in your hands and it can go either way.

After all when most kids are asked at this age “What is your favourite subject ?” many will answer ‘recess‘.
